August 5, Sunday was a day for the fittest; held at Mactan, Cebu Philippines , the 4th Cobra Energy Drink Ironman70.3 participated with 1,700 athletes started the Triathlon early morning in the open sea, at the beach of Shangri la Hotel and Beach Resort . The course covered the 1.9km swim, then the 90km biking trail and lastly the 21.1km run. While audience were cheering, seeing the athletes taking the swimming course was just amazing, to witness different participants from different countries, and on how they manage to swim the rough condition of the sea. Biking Trail As the participants made their way to the next course, participants where cheered by over 25,000 people while waving their flaglets during the biking trail and the running course. At the last course of triathlon, I can see that participants were really exhausted from running but thanks to all the kids cheering and keeping them motivated to finish.
